New Hope, Healing Grounds Mission Statement
The mission of New Hope, Healing Grounds is to offer hope and assist in the healing from addictions in a holistic manner for physical, emotional and spiritual health. The vision of the program is to assist tribal members in their journey towards health by focusing on their strengths and building resiliency through education and supportive services.
Services
New Hope, Healing Grounds focuses on empowering tribal members by providing education and support in recovering from effects of alcohol and substance abuse by offering the following:
Alcohol & Substance Abuse Education & Prevention
Domestic Violence Education & Prevention
Parenting Education & Child Abuse Prevention
Relapse Prevention
Coping & Social Skills
Talking Circles or Support Groups
AA/NA and Individual Counseling
New Hope, Healing Grounds welcomes community members on a voluntary basis and accepts referrals from the court, ICW and any other department for services. Staff provides trauma-informed services and includes Kickapoo and non-Indian members who speak English, Spanish and Kickapoo. Tribal members who need medical, mental health or in-patient treatment will be referred to the appropriate services in the community.
