The KTTT reopened the Casino on September 30, 2020 for VIP guests and opened to the public on October 1st, 2020. Amidst the global pandemic, resulting from the Covid-19 virus, the Casino had originally closed its doors on March 19th, 2020 in order to create a comprehensive plan including new safety precautionary measures. KLECH worked diligently to prepare for the re-opening of the property by implementing new protocols and safety measures that include social distancing practices, disinfecting practices and the use of personal protective equipment which further protects guests and team members from Covid-19. Guests and team members are encouraged to remain 6 feet apart. Casino Management limited the number of poker players per table, reconfigured seating arrangements in dining venues and reduced the number of available slot machines to allow separation between guests. There has been enhanced cleaning protocols such as the disinfecting of frequent contact surfaces and hand sanitizing stations and sanitation wipes have been placed throughout the property at all entrances. There has been an increased frequency of air filter replacements and HVAC cleaning. Additionally, Plexiglas shields have been added in front of every position at the table and all guests and team members are required to wear a protective facemask on property. All guests partake in a screening via a non-invasive Thermal Camera System that can detect a fever prior to entering. Management implemented mandatory Covid-19 safety training and testing for all team members prior to returning to work. Finally, the property has been changed to a non-smoking facility, the availability of mobile room keys can now be accessed from cell phones or mobile devices, there is an increased amount of cleaning attendants at public spaces, high-risk areas such as valet parking and the Fitness Center have been closed and the property only allows 25% capacity. The Tribal Council and KLECH management will continue to closely monitor local, state and federal health announcements and update safety protocols accordingly.
