Position: Food Service Inventory Clerk
Supervisor: Food Service Director

Responsibilities:
It is the primary responsibility of the Inventory Clerk to prep, batch and scan paperwork to shared services and departments, which include managing the inventory control system, maintaining product data, as well as, review and analyze the results of operations. The Inventory Clerk will conduct physical inventories and research inventory variances while maintaining accurate financial record keeping. This position will receive all deliveries and assist with proper distribution. This position will also assist the department with all event setup and clean up. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and property policies, practices, and procedures. Continuously strives to upgrade skills and capabilities to be able to handle new assignments and responsibilities consistent with company needs. This position reports to the Food Service Director and to Food Service Supervisor.
Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:
- Assist during all emergency needs to include, power outages, natural disasters, and any event that causes stress and need for food to be provided to the tribal community.
- Creates and manages the food service order guide and inventory sheets and stores all product so that it follows the sheet to shelf method.
- Develop and implement efficient inventory management procedures.
- Ensures that all stock is organized and assist with the unloading and processing of deliveries.
- Files all delivery invoices and records daily on department expense report.
- Implement a loss prevention program to limit food waste.
- Maintain and update inventory records, including order modifications and any other form related to food inventory.
- Moves and restructures organization of all food storage to make space for new arrivals.
- Presents inventory reports at department meetings.
- Pulls any defective or expired supplies that are not compliant with safe food handling procedures.
- Reconcile inventory discrepancies.
- Report any stock issues to management and place product orders as necessary for all food outlets.
- Review and apply inventory activities, including keeping up with procurement and managing the food cost that best benefits food services.
- Writes up inventory reports detailing any overstock or missing items.
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.
Education/experience requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED certificate
At least 1-year experience in food service supervision or management.
At least 3 years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified for food service inventory control.
A minimum two (2) years’ experience performing high-level food service administrative duties with oversight of budgets and operational functions.
Able to manage ledger and profit loss reports.
Must pass required background check.
Preferred Qualifications: College Hours 60 hours or more or associate’s degree, or equivalent technical degree (such as Office Assistant, Paraprofessional Advanced, Business, Hospitality, or other applicable qualifying certification).
