Responsibilities
Student Services Specialist assists the Tribal Education Division and Data Quality Office in by maintaining attendance records and providing general office support. Each morning Family Engagement Specialist will work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to ensure that students attend school, records are accurate, and attendance information is communicated to school leadership in a timely manner. In the afternoon, the Student Services Specialist will manage the reception desk and provide general office support while assisting when Tribal Leave as necessary.
The Student Services Specialist will directly support patrons, students, parents, family and other individuals who may qualify for TSS services. Responsible for providing quality services, timely processing of data, and promoting event participation in education related programs and services.
Education/experience requirements:
Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma/GED required; 3 or more years’ Experience in record keeping, data entry, data base operations, and or other data related clerical profession. Experience working in data, accounting, operations, or school district office required.
Preferred Qualifications: Associates Degree or Workforce Certification in Office related field.
Disqualifying Criteria:
Regulations implementing the Indian Child Protection and Family Violence Prevention Act require an individual to be denied employment if he or she has been convicted of any felony, or any two or more misdemeanor offenses, under Federal, State, or Tribal law involving crimes of violence, sexual assault, molestation, exploitation, contact or prostitution, crimes against persons, or offenses committed against children.
