Position:                              Pool Attendant

Supervisor:                         Parks and Recreation Director

Division:                              Reservation Services Administration

Department:                        Parks and Recreation

RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Under General supervision, the Pool Attendant must clean the pool, pool area, restrooms, office, and maintain the chemical balance in the water.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

• Monitor guests and ensure that equipment such as floats are available to swimmers when using the facilities.
• Prepare the pool for the day and open the gates to the public.
• Observe and monitor groups of children outdoors assuring their safety.
• Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by Parks and Recreation Director.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: 

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or graduation equivalent diploma (GED).

Preferred Qualifications: Previous work-related experience is preferred. 

Native American preference is observed: 

KTTT recognizes preference for KTTT tribal members and qualified Native American tribal members including preferential treatment in recruitment, hiring, promotions, layoffs and reductions in force so long as they meet minimum job qualifications. 

Special certifications required: 

Must have a valid Texas State Driver’s license and must be insurable.

Must adhere to Personnel Policies and Alcohol Policies.

Preferred certifications include CPR and First Aid.  If necessary, will train qualified applicants.
