Responsibilities

Investigate or inspect government property to ensure compliance with contract agreements and government regulations. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: 

• Conduct inspections of single-family and mobile home residential properties in order to ensure compliance with code and other property improvement needs and to review determinations as to the feasibility of repairs and or evictions.
• Determine if the housing is decent, safe and sanitary. Inspect the condition and appearance of the exterior and interior premises, note the condition of such installation and structure such as sidewalks, steps, railing, flooring, walls, roofs, gutters and downspouts, etc.
• Evidence of capable and adequate maintenance, heating, plumbing, electric and the general appearance and condition of the unit.
• Write initial and follow-up inspection reports to pass or fail a unit.
• Submit maintenance request to maintenance department for repairs
• Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor.
• Assist in office work as needed.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or graduation equivalent diploma (GED)

Preferred Qualifications: Previous work related experience is preferred.
