Responsibilities:
Process and evaluate gaming license applications, as well as monitor licensing for existing employees, to determine eligibility for licensure in accordance with applicable federal and state laws, KTTT Gaming Ordinance, and KTTTGC Regulations. Provide recommendations regarding licensure status.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:

- Responsible for the processing of tribal gaming licensing applications for gaming employees in accordance with KTTT Gaming Commission and the NIGC guidelines.
- Responsible for the processing of tribal gaming license applications for Gaming Vendors and technicians/staff of gaming services, supplies, and cash related services.
- Responsible for the processing of tribal gaming license applications for Non-Gaming Vendors and staff that the Commission licenses.
- Schedules and coordinates in-person interviews while examining and verifying applicant data to ensure accuracy, authenticity, and completeness, in order to determine eligibility and qualifications for licensure.
- Provide clear guidance to applicants, employees, and vendors regarding licensing requirements and processes in a professional, courteous, and customer-service–oriented manner.
- Responsible for advising and staying in communication with applicants and/or licensees of status of an application and/or gaming license.
- Responsible for updating internal data sheets and systems.
- This position requires becoming knowledgeable of the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA), National Indian Gaming Commission (NIGC) regulations, the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas (KTTT) Gaming Ordinance, KTTTGC regulations, and other applicable licensing laws and regulations, and ensuring adherence to them.
- Cooperate with various outside entities, including all casino operation departments, local, state, tribal and federal law enforcement and judicial entities, and anyone else designated by the KGC in the completion of background investigation and compliance matters related to the tribal licensing application process.
- As needed, report time-sensitive licensing documentation through a secure data network to the NIGC regarding licensing decisions, ensuring compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and deadlines.
- Assist with all aspects of being a gaming licensor for casino employees, including fingerprinting and processing of fingerprint submissions, required signature forms, payroll deductions, and use of the identification card machine/digital camera for issuance of licensee identification badges.
- Create Investigative Reports (IR’s) along with Suitability Reports (SR’s) for applicable employee/vendor applicants for background investigations that have been completed.
- Ensures proper filing and logging of documents collected during the background investigation process.
- Performs a variety of technical work involved in the review, acceptance, processing, recommendation, and issuance of gaming license applications.
- Assist applicants as they arrive by directing them appropriately and addressing their inquiries. Screen and direct calls and/or public visitors, answer questions, and provide gaming license information, including applicable requirements, rights, and notices.
- Must maintain good attendance and be available to work early/late hours or on weekends if needed.
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities, including training sessions, workshops, and certification programs to maintain current knowledge of gaming regulations, investigative practices, and compliance standards.

- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by upper management and contribute to team effort.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or graduation equivalent diploma (GED) College course work in general office practices, data processing and criminal justice or other related fields.
Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual skills preferred. Two (2) Four (4) years of gaming experience with prior regulatory, law enforcement or investigative experience.
