Supports and coordinates the day-to-day procedural activities related to animal & pest control, and recycling/solid waste management. KEPA Tech. will maintain community surveillance for unwanted and unattended animals. Schedule and coordinate animal and pest assessments for all the Tribal facilities and houses collecting and maintaining data and records of pesticide applications. Performs and coordinates the acquisition of pesticides, materials, and equipment required for the performance of the animal and pest control responsibilities. Controls all the documentation related to pesticide and herbicide applications. KEPA Tech. is responsible for developing and continuously improving a comprehensive and progressive recycling/solid waste diversion program. The KEPA Tech. will conduct targeted illegal dump cleanups and community recycling throughout the year and promote enforcement of the Tribe’s illegal dumping policies. The KEPA Tech. will provide assistance to all Tribal facilities and homes to reduce solid waste, and increase/improve recycling.
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
Preferred Qualifications: Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) certification. Pesticide Applicator Certification by the State of Texas, with two (2) years of experience in pesticide application and animal control.
