Job Description 

Position:                              Maintenance Worker (Part-Time)

Responsibilities:

Provide store service that meet standards for store quantity, quality, safety and consistency for clientele. Keep store in clean and orderly condition. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as operating motor-driven cleaning equipment, mopping floors, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish. Duties may include, performing routine maintenance activities, notifying management of need for repairs and additions and cleaning snow or debris from sidewalk. 

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Reports to the maintenance manager/supervisor.
  • Sweep, mop, scrub and vacuum floors of buildings, using cleaning solutions, tools and equipment.
  • Clean or polish walls, ceilings, windows, and building fixtures, using steam cleaning equipment, scrapers, brooms and variety of hand and power tools.
  • Apply waxes or sealers to wood or concrete floors.
  • Gather and empty trash.
  • Clean furniture, walls, machines and equipment.
  • Service, clean and supply restrooms.
  • Service and repair cleaning and maintenance equipment and machinery
  • Clean building interiors damaged by fire, smoke or water, using commercial cleaning equipment.
  • Pulls and stocks merchandise promptly from backroom with proper rotation
  • Maintains overall store cleanliness, including restrooms, sweeps and mops as needed.
  • Responsible for supporting other Team Members during periods of peak business.
  • Responsible for maintaining all fuel and diesel pumps ready for business, including cleaning and filtering.
  • Assist with organizing, cleaning, and stocking walk-in cooler (Freezer).
  • Perform such other tasks as may be assigned from time to time by supervisor. 

Education/experience requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: Previous work-related skill, knowledge and experience is needed. One to Three years of experience in the maintenance of building facilities and grounds, repair of structures, machinery, plumbing, electrical wiring and fixtures.

Preferred Qualifications: High school diploma or graduation equivalent diploma (GED) and previous work-related work experience is preferred.
