Responsibilities: 

The Housing Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for residents, visitors, and prospective tenants at Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas. This role is responsible for providing excellent customer service, managing inquiries, and supporting the administrative functions of the housing office.

Essential duties and responsibilities include the following:

  • Greet and assist residents, visitors, and prospective tenants in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Respond to inquiries via phone, email, and in-person regarding housing services, policies, and procedures.
  • Manage the reception area, ensuring it is organized and welcoming.
  • Maintain accurate records of resident information, inquiries, and service requests.
  • Assist in processing rental applications, lease agreements, and other housing documents if needed.
  • Relay important information to residents regarding community events, maintenance updates, and policy changes.
  • Coordinate communication between residents and housing staff to ensure timely responses to requests.
  • Schedule appointments for property viewings, maintenance requests, and meetings with housing staff.
  • Maintain an organized calendar for the housing office.
  • Generate reports as needed for management review.
  • Address and resolve resident concerns or complaints in a timely and effective manner.
  • Escalate issues to the Housing Director when necessary.
  • Other duties assigned by Housing Director.

Education / experience requirements: 

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or graduation equivalent diploma (GED)

A combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge and abilities to perform position requirement. An example of this would be experience in operating a switchboard or PBX equipment, along with at least one year (1) clerical experience. 

Preferred Qualifications: Previous clerical experience is preferred.
