Position: Child Care Manager
Supervisor: Senior Director of Academic Services
Division: Tribal Academic & Human Services Division
Department: Child Care Center
Under general direction from the Senior Director of Academic Services, manages day-to-day operations, plans, develops, and provides training on a comprehensive, developmentally, linguistically and culturally appropriate child care services program that is responsive to the unique needs of the Kickapoo Traditional Tribe of Texas, and typical situations and challenges of childcare aged children and their families. Monitors, supports the program to ensure all staff adhere to health and safety standards while providing high quality childcare in a quality setting and provides positive guidance with excellent resources to all teaching staff.
Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Elementary Education, Special Education or related field with 7 or more years teaching experience within Tribal Education or Education program.
At least 5 years, experience in staff supervision of staff and experience in implementing grant standards, and some experience in fiscal management.
Preferred Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education with five year’s professional experience, including grant writing. Strong knowledge of program CCDF Final Rule Requirements and or/ Head Start Performance Standards
